The Growth of Tobacco Brokerage

In early 1970, there were 9 Tobacco Broker companies that has been registered and acknowledged by Bremer Tobacco Auction. In 2004, the number of Tobacco Broker was 3 companies and in 2005 up to present, there are only 4 Tobacco Broker companies existed.

The growth of tobacco brokerage service has decreased compared to the earlier years where the turnover of tobacco sales can support the existence of the business. In line with the declining consumption of cigars, since the beginning of 1970, the total volume and the turnover of tobacco sales have continuously decreased. In addition, the number of customers also decreased because of customer’s concentration process.
